South Holland Rural Living Survey
How does living in a rural area affect you? We want to better understand what it is like living in a rural area, the impact it has on your daily life, and any challenges it brings in being healthy and active.
Being active isn’t just about sport or structured exercise, but includes all forms of movement such as walking, gardening, cycling, playing with children or grandchildren, housework, and other everyday activities that help people to move more and support their health and wellbeing.
HWLincs are carrying out a survey on behalf of Active Lincolnshire, targeting residents in the South Holland region of our area.
Residents’ direct feedback will make a huge difference and help us better understand the opportunities and challenges of rural living, potentially going on to inform future decisions around spending and policy in the area.
We want to find out how living in a rural area affects:
- Access to services e.g. health, education, employment, retail and leisure
- Physical health and wellbeing
- Ability to be or stay active
- Social connections and being able to stay connected with others
The survey should take between five and fifteen minutes to complete, depending on how much detail you would like to share; it’s mostly tick-box questions, but there is an opportunity to share your views in more detail should you wish; all feedback will be anonymously presented, unless you consent otherwise. The survey will be available to complete until 27th July 2026.
HWLincs’ work will lead to a report being created for Active Lincolnshire – you can read more about how we use and process your data here.
