Suicide prevention and happier living for men in Lincolnshire.
There are many ways to talk about how you’re feeling
and live a happier life.
A Better Way will launch in full in July and offer information
on ways to get help, support and advice that suit you.
Ahead of this launch we are offering a free, hour-long
one-to-one session
with a trained counsellor.

Offload Central:
Book your one-to-one

Offload Central is a chance to freely to offload what is on your mind.

You get one hour to just be in a place to have someone listen without judgement,
without offering their opinions and advice, and without telling you what to do.

This is your space to find your way, or just to air the many things that can
overwhelm us on a day-to-day basis.

To take part in the one-to-ones you will need to be:

  • Male
  • Living or working in Lincolnshire
  • Aged 39-61

If you don’t fit these criteria, please still get in touch to be alerted when our campaign
launches in full in July.

Sign up below and we’ll be in touch within two days to book your appointment.

Appointments can take place on the telephone or Zoom/Teams.

What is Offload Central, what happens when I participate, and what is it not?

Offload Central is a chance to freely to offload what is on your mind.

You get one hour to just be in a place to have someone listen without judgement, without offering their opinions and advice, and without telling you what to do.

This is your space to find your way, or just to air the many things that can overwhelm us on a day-to-day basis.

Offload Central is not counselling. It offers a one-off session for individuals to utilise and support them at any point in their journey.  After the session it will offer information and signposting to other services and resources which can provide a longer period of support for you.  The Offload session might focus on identifying support that will help, or it might just be a period where you can quiet a busy mind.

Attending the session does not mean you have to take part or get involved in anything else we share with you. However, you will be offered opportunities to attend any workshops we are running and given a resource pack to keep and use when the time is right for you.

How do I get a one-to-one session with Offload Central?

We have promoted our sessions through our website, social media, local GP practices and other local groups so you’ve got this far, and you are already on the path to receiving your one-to-one – we just need to make sure that you are eligible.  Don’t worry if you are not, we can still share a resource information and signposting pack with you.

What will happen after the session?

During the one-to-ones, you will probably identify some specific areas where you would like additional help, information or support and we will provide you with resources and an information pack to help you along that journey.  You don’t have to use it right away but keep it as reference.  This can be shared with you electronically or in hard copy.

You will be invited to take part in any workshops or activities we offer, and we will also share details of other services and activities happening specifically for men.

Who will be in the one-to-one session with me?

We have a trained counsellor who will be with you during the one-to-one session. Her name is Nicola, and whilst this is not a counselling session, Nicola does have the skills, experience and supervisory back up to provide that safe space.
