Lincolnshire Charity HWLincs builds on success as second annual conference strengthens the power of public voice

The conference brought together partners, professionals, volunteers, community groups, and local people from across Lincolnshire to reflect on the importance of independent public voice and the future of health and social care. Throughout the day, there was a fantastic sense of energy, collaboration, and shared commitment in the room, highlighting the value of working together to ensure communities remain at the centre of decision-making. 

HWLincs shared highlights from their annual report and officially launched the new HWLincs strategy, setting out continued commitment to amplifying the voices of local people and strengthening public involvement across the county. Discover HWLincs annual report highlight video here.

The discussions, workshops, and conversations throughout the day reinforced the importance of listening to people’s experiences and using those insights to shape services and support positive change. The pledges made during the conference also demonstrated a collective commitment to championing public voice and continuing collaborative working across organisations and communities. 

HWLincs was proud to host a mixture of keynote speakers and workshops, facilitating numerous networking opportunities throughout.

Hayley Eccles, Deputy Executive Director of Adult Care & Community Wellbeing Lincolnshire County Council kickstarted the day as the keynote speaker

Theo Jarratt, Head of Early Action & Support followed by highlighting what Lincolnshire County Council and HWLincs had achieved together over the last 18 months.

Workshops were also held throughout the day and included the release of the State of Health and Care in Lincolnshire findings following the whole population research.

There were 4 workshops in total. Here is a taster of workshop 1 where HWLincs guided the audience through the State of Health and Care in Lincolnshire report findings. From aims to services covered and key demographics of who shared their views. The three overall themes were explored further…access, interactions and quality and satisfaction overall themes.

In addition to the speeches, attendees took the opportunity to network and forge new connections in the marketplace, where collaboration and partnership was a central theme of discussion.
