What small change would make a big difference?

Our new survey, created in association with East Lindsey District Council, will collect your experiences and use this information to make the changes the district needs to see.

Whether it’s specific signs in Skegness, handrails in Horncastle or maps to accessible toilets in Tattershall, we want to know your ideas. There might be specific buildings you need to access. Maybe it’s something that would help your visit to the beach, or anything in between.

What matters most to you will likely make a big difference to others too, so whatever you think would help you will help us all and make East Lindsey a more accessible district.

The survey is open to residents and visitors to East Lindsey. Whether you live or work in the district, are or have been on holiday there, or visit friends of family, your feedback will be used by HWLincs and East Lindsey District Council to understand what needs to be done better.

HWLincs volunteer team thanks a long-standing member

The dedicated team of HWLincs volunteers has said goodbye to a long-standing member, who retired in September.

It was sad to say goodbye to Ann Morgan (right), who was an HWLincs volunteer for more than 10 years and will be missed by all.

If you would like to help improve the wellbeing of people in Lincolnshire by volunteering, get in touch.

How does the council deliver on healthy lifestyles?

HWLincs is supporting the county council’s consultation on its Integrated Lifestyle Service consultation survey. Its duties include helping people to lose weight, be more active, stop smoking and more.

Representatives from the council will be at the next Healthwatch Lincolnshire YourVoice@Healthwatch event (see below to book your space!) to give an overview and answer any questions you might have.

The autumn event of Healthwatch Lincolnshire’s public forum, YourVoice@Healthwatch, takes place in October and will focus on SOCIAL CARE and HEALTHY LIFESTYLE SERVICES

GP access report

The Healthwatch Lincolnshire team has published its report on GP access in the county.

Lincolnshire NHS ICB has responded and improvements are already being made as a direct result of our work.

Tenant satisfaction surveys

The next round of our engagement work with Melton Borough Council’s tenants has begun and the council has acted upon the most recent report to improve tenants’ experiences.

Save independent voice

As a local Healthwatch service provider, we have joined others across England to back a national petition – and you can help to keep public feedback independent by signing and sharing it.

Nothing has changed – yet. Healthwatch Lincolnshire still needs to exist by law.

However, planned changes threaten the impartiality, trust and effectiveness of your voice and the effect you can have on the health and care services that are there to help you.

We believe – and have proved in all we do – that being able to go to an independent service for advice, help, support or to raise concerns is paramount.

Independence is not optional – it is essential for transparency, accountability, and meaningful change.
