Team day hits the mark (mostly!)

The HWLincs team got some well earned outdoor time this month, with a morning at Wild Pines in Market Rasen.

Not only did we get to enjoy the soothing nature of the trees with some forest bathing, but we also put our skills to the test with archery and mini-golf.

We always go above and beyond for our work, but during archery, it turns out that some of us also go above and beyond the targets. Way above and beyond.

Regardless, some time out to enjoy nature and each other’s company was a great way to refresh during team training amid a hectic month.

HWLincs AGM sees launch of our annual report, welcomes a new trustee and bids a fond farewell to a long-serving board member

At the AGM, we also welcomed Marina McEwan to the board of trustees. Marina brings years of HR experience, which will continue to improve HWLincs.

The HWLincs Board of Trustees is recruiting new members to help guide the next stage of the charity.

We are currently looking for people with experience in:

• Marketing and communications

• Finance and accounting

Save independent voice

As a local Healthwatch service provider, we have joined others across England to back a national petition – and you can help to keep public feedback independent by signing and sharing it.

Nothing has changed – yet. Healthwatch Lincolnshire still needs to exist by law.

However, planned changes threaten the impartiality, trust and effectiveness of your voice and the effect you can have on the health and care services that are there to help you. 

We believe – and have proved in all we do – that being able to go to an independent service for advice, help, support or to raise concerns is paramount. 

Independence is not optional – it is essential for transparency, accountability, and meaningful change.

Health and social care survey for serving personnel

HWLincs has teamed up with the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to find out about the healthcare experiences and needs of people in the armed forces.

The survey will identify barriers and gaps in healthcare and recommend improvements to make sure everyone gets the care they need.

We want to hear from all serving personnel but especially the military’s hidden voices, such as:

✅ People with disabilities

✅ LGBTQ+ communities

✅ People from ethnic minorities

✅ Carers

Public and providers gather at YourVoice@Healthwatch event

The autumn event of Healthwatch Lincolnshire’s public forum, YourVoice@Healthwatch, takes place in October and will focus on SOCIAL CARE
