Coffee, cake and a huge thanks to our volunteers for Volunteers’ Week

HWLincs team members and volunteers celebrated Volunteers Week with a coffee morning at the picturesque Whisby Nature Park near Lincoln.

Volunteers are essential to the charity and their dedication keeps everything running and the wellbeing of our community improving.

So it was great to spend a morning enjoying coffee, cake and a chat to catch up outside of engagements.

HWLincs team members were joined by Michael and Maureen Cassidy, Anna Pastuszko and trustee Liz Ball.

HWLincs CEO Navaz Sutton took the opportunity to spend time with the volunteers and say a big thank you in person.

Navaz said: “It was great to catch up with our valued volunteers who are essential for us to gather public voice and reach the people across our county. We truly appreciate their time and commitment to HWLincs.”

Team members who weren’t present have also taken time to thank our volunteers for their hard work.

Hannah Darley said: “I personally would like to thank all the volunteers who generously give up their time to support us through various activities. In my role I would like to especially thank those who are part of the readers panel. The feedback they provided is always so thorough and helpful. It is always appreciated and helps make our reports more accessible.”

Healthwatch Involvement Officer Oonagh Quinn added: “I would like to thank the team of Enter and View Authorised Representatives who undertake additional training and support Healthwatch Lincolnshire to visit health and care settings (care homes, community diagnostic centres, Accident and Emergency Departments, Urgent Treatment Centres) so that we hear from members of the community who use these services.

“It has been a pleasure working with you over the last 12 months and I look forward to meeting up with you on future visits.”
